Once upon a time in a world much like our own, yet completely different, there lived dragon-like beings who lived under the rule of a dark king, named Dark the Dog. His influence brought fear into those who spoke his name or even saw his armies as they walked by. Hiding within the city, however, lived the resistance who wanted to take down the evil king who ruled them all and bring the city back to the peaceful place that it once was.
The leader of the freedom fighters was Arrow the Dog who no one knew was the brother of Dark. Arrow explained their new strategy to thwart Dark’s plans to stop him once and for all. Arrow’s plan was to finally stand up to Dark by sneaking into the castle disguised as one of the guards and then confront him. He told the other freedom fighters that he would execute the plan himself and that they would standby outside of the castle and wait for his signal.
As the freedom fighters waited outside the castle for the signal, Arrow knocked out one of the dragon guards and put on the armor. He followed the rest of the guards and walked into the throne room. Dark the Dog proceeded to tell them of his new plan, which was to expand his rule to include other worlds besides their own. After Dark was finished, the rest of guards left the throne room; all except for Arrow.
Arrow walked up to Dark and took off his helmet. Dark was surprised to see his younger brother. Arrow told Dark that the people had finally had enough of Dark’s rule and that it was time for him to be brought to justice. Dark chuckled. Arrow signaled the freedom fighters and they came busting through the windows of the throne room. Dark laughed and said, “This is it? These are all of your freedom fighters? How pitiful. Have you even told them about who you really are?” The freedom fighters looked at Arrow, who was looking at the ground and he said, “No, I haven’t.” Arrow lifted his head toward the group and informed them that he was the second heir to the throne. The freedom fighters could feel that what he said was true, and each nodded in understanding. Arrow grinned and then looked to Dark and said, “It’s over Dark. You lost.”
Dark calmly walked ever to Arrow and whispered “You may have won now, little brother, but this is just the beginning.” Then he turned and walked out of the throne room. The freedom fighters cheered in excitement for the kingdom was back to its former peace. Later that night as Arrow looked over the peaceful kingdom he thought to himself, “It’s funny, really, how fear and power corrupts us all. Even those who are pure-hearted can get tainted by this darkness. Time goes on no matter which universe you are in and there is always going to be a battle to balance good and evil.”
